My Approach
For more than 15 years, I've worked in mental health and education with children, teens, adults, and families from all kinds of backgrounds.
I believe counseling should feel like a real conversation, not an interrogation. My job isn't to judge you or tell you how to live your life. It's to listen, help you sort through what's going on, ask the questions that matter, and work with you to figure out what comes next.
I believe in plain talk, not a lot of unnecessary clinical jargon. We'll spend time understanding what's getting in the way, but we won't stay stuck there. We'll focus on practical solutions, meaningful progress, and finding things you can actually use in your everyday life.
Real change takes honesty, effort, and sometimes a willingness to look at things differently. My role is to help guide that process while giving you a place where you can be yourself and know you're being heard.
Why Guardian Path?
I chose the name Guardian Path because life doesn't always go the way we planned. We all run into challenges, setbacks, difficult decisions, and times when we're not sure what to do next.
Sometimes you just need somebody in your corner.
To me, that's what being a guardian is about. It's not about telling people how to live their lives or making decisions for them. It's about listening, offering support, asking the right questions, and helping people find their own way forward.
That's also why I started Guardian Path Counseling Services.
After many years working in mental health and education, I wanted to build a practice where people came first. I wanted the time to really get to know the people I work with instead of feeling like I had to rush from one session to the next.
Everybody's story is different. There's no one-size-fits-all answer, and I don't believe there should be. My goal is to give people a place where they can be honest about what's going on, feel heard, and leave with a better idea of where they want to go from here.
That's what Guardian Path is all about.
What You Can Expect
You can expect a place where you can be yourself and talk about what's really going on without worrying about being judged.
Some sessions may be about working through a difficult situation. Other times we may focus on solving a problem, making a decision, or figuring out why you keep feeling stuck.
I'll listen, ask questions, challenge you when it's helpful, and work with you to figure out what makes the most sense for your situation. My goal isn't to tell you how to live your life. It's to help you move in the direction you want to go.
Who I Work With
I work with adolescents, teens, and adults from all kinds of backgrounds.
People reach out for all sorts of reasons. Some are dealing with anxiety or stress. Some are going through a major life change. Others are having relationship problems or just feel like they've been carrying too much by themselves.
You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out.
A Little About Me
When I'm not counseling, you'll usually find me riding my bike, working out, listening to lo-fi music, or learning something new. I'm also a longtime fan of comics, video games, tabletop games, and astronomy.
I believe we're all a work in progress. I've had times in my own life where I had to take a hard look in the mirror, be honest with myself, and make some changes. That's one of the reasons I care so much about the work I do today.
Real change takes effort, but you don't have to figure everything out by yourself.
